Jordan Henderson raves about Jadon Sancho

Following England’s 5-3 win over Kosovo this week, Jordan Henderson praised Jadon Sancho who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent times.

Jurgen Klopp previously admitted that Jadon Sancho was a target for Liverpool before his move to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 but Manchester City wouldn’t sell to the Reds.

Sancho scored two goals in England’s rout of Kosovo in midweek and Henderson waxed lyrical about the 19-year-old’s ‘brilliant’ performance.

He said: “I thought Sancho was brilliant at times.

“He was so good with the ball, his runs and his final product. There’s still a lot of positives. We’re still confident and feel we’re going in the right direction, but we’re far from being the perfect team. We want to be even better.”

While there are plenty of brilliant young dribblers in Europe, what makes Sancho stand out from all the teenagers on the continent is his ability to regularly produce an end product.

Oftentimes young players get carried away and fail to deliver the most important asset of attacking play which is ultimately scoring or assisting a goal.
