AC Milan want to sign Adam Lallana in January
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool will field an offer from AC Milan in the winter transfer window for former Southampton star Adam Lallana.
A report this week from Football Insider claimed that the Reds will listen to offers for Lallana as he is struggling to make an impact and would be better served to leave the club.
His contract expires at the end of the season but Liverpool intend on triggering a clause within the deal to extend it by another season but more as a way to ensure they can receive a major fee for his services than to offer him a greater role in the squad.
AC Milan are keen on acquiring his signature, Calciomercato reports, which would offer the Englishman the chance to spend the last few years of his playing career as an influential midfielder.
His career at Liverpool has not gone to plan as injuries have wreaked havoc on a player that arrived at Anfield with significant promise. Lallana seemed to be the perfect Jurgen Klopp midfielder before he suffered a series of frustrating injuries.
While he might be happy to remain as a squad player, Lallana would be suited to the speed of play in Italy and would certainly be offered a decent salary by Milan.
