Barcelona and Real Madrid to battle for Fabian Ruiz

Liverpool-linked Fabian Ruiz is set to be the subject of a bidding war between Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Liverpool Echo cites a report from the Spanish news outlet that claims the two La Liga giants will go head to head to secure the Napoli star’s signature.
The Merseyside-based newspaper’s live blog also points out the irony that the Reds haven’t been linked with Ruiz since they played the Serie A outfit in the Champions League.
Bare that in mind when reading future stories regarding a potential move for the midfielder as they’re likely to spring up again at the end of November when Napoli visit Anfield.
While there is no denying that Ruiz would be a fabulous player to have at the club, he’s not exactly crucial to success as Jurgen Klopp’s side is doing just fine without him.
Liverpool top the Premier League table with 24 points after eight games while Manchester City trail by eight points and although the two sides are still to play each other twice this season, the European Champions look much stronger than their rivals.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the transfer market in the future but it does seem unlikely that there is much genuine interest in Ruiz from Liverpool.
