Dortmund stance on Jadon Sancho softening
German football expert Kevin Hitchard says that Borussia Dortmund’s stance on letting Jadon Sancho leave is softening.
Manchester United were heavily linked with a move for the English star but Dortmund were never going to let him leave but that position might change before the summer of 2020.
Hitchard told the Liverpool Echo: “Jadon Sancho is a player Dortmund had no interest in whatsoever in selling in the summer just gone. That was quite clear from the get-go.
“All the links with Manchester United, although United were very much interested in him, they were wide of the mark as he was never going to go in the summer.
“That situation is not necessarily going to be the same next summer.”
The Dortmund winger is still only 19 and is part of an exciting group of young English talent coming through which Liverpool need to ensure they take advantage of.
While no sane Liverpool fan wants to see Mohamed Salah leave, a future lineup featuring Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jadon Sancho is mouth-watering.
The Bundesliga outfit have hinted in the past that they are aware of the fact that they can’t hold onto Sancho forever and given that Liverpool didn’t spend a dime in the transfer window just past, the Reds can certainly afford a big player like Sancho.
