Bologna's Christoph Winterling rejects Liverpool

Liverpool approached Bologna’s commercial and marketing director over a switch to Merseyside and he turned them down.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Christoph Winterling was approached by the Reds to manage a £180million budget in a similar capacity to his current job in the Serie A.

However, the German turned down the opportunity as he believes that Bologna are able to achieve something commendable by getting the Italian side into Europe.

Liverpool are now left having to find themselves another suitable candidate for the role. Inter and Milan are also reportedly interested in Winterling, highlighting just how much of a wanted man he is.

Since FSG took over and indeed since Jurgen Klopp was appointed manager, Liverpool have grown exponentially in a commercial sense and are once again one of the most valuable clubs in the world.
