Liverpool fans want Fabinho to get booked against Spurs
Liverpool fans want Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to get booked at Anfield on Sunday when they face Spurs so that he is forced to miss the Arsenal clash.
The former AS Monaco star was booked at Old Trafford at the weekend and is one away from receiving a one-match ban for accumulating too many cautions.
With Manchester City set to visit Anfield in a few weeks’ time, the 25-year-old needs to ensure he picks up a booking before the Reds face Aston Villa on the 2nd of November.
Not only will Fabinho ensure he is eligible to face Manchester City but it will also mean the holding midfielder is forced into taking a well-earned break after starting 14 games for club and country this season.
He needs a break and given how little Liverpool value the domestic cups under Klopp, missing the Arsenal game will not be the worst thing in the world as it will afford him a timely break before crucial games against Genk and City.
The Brazilian didn’t start at the Etihad last season and the consensus is that had he been on the pitch from the first whistle, the Reds would have won the game and potentially the Premier League itself.
His name is one of the first on the team sheet these days and in the current squad, he is virtually irreplaceable.
