Pep Guardiola’s focus is now on Liverpool

Pep Guardiola’s focus is now on Liverpool after his Manchester City side progressed to the knockout rounds of the Champions League last night.
A 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk at the Etihad Stadium was enough to see Guardiola’s side through, and with that being the case, his attention is to now close the nine-point gap between his side and Liverpool in the Premier League.

“It is time to focus on the Premier League,” Guardiola said, as quoted by ESPN.
“Maybe the next draw all the four English clubs will be there. That’ll be good for us. We’re in the next stage and that’s the most important thing when you start the group.”
Manchester City make the trip to St James’ Park on Saturday to face Newcastle United. Liverpool will host Brighton and Hove Albion on the Saturday, also.
