Pundit snubs Virgil van Dijk in Premier League Team of the Decade
Sky Sports pundit Danny Mills has excluded current Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk from his Premier League Team of the Decade.
His reason for doing so was simple. Mills included Mohamed Salah in his team due to the fact that the Egyptian has been scoring goals for a prolonged period of time.

Van Dijk on the other hand, according to Mills, has not been playing at the level he currently is right now for long enough, which is why Salah was mentioned when it came to justifying his decision.
“I just consider the amount of goals he (Salah) has scored, the performances he puts in week-in-week out over the course of three seasons, I think exceptional,” said Mills, as quoted by Live4Liverpool.
“That’s the difference between him and Van Dijk, he has done it over a longer period of time.”
Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany and Chelsea legend John Terry were selected ahead of Van Dijk by Mills.
