Klopp provides injury update on Matip; Does the German need January reinforcement?

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no timeline on when centre-back Joel Matip will return.
Matip has not featured for the Reds since the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford in October. Klopp also has to deal with the absence of Fabinho, who is out until the New Year.
Alisson is also out, although that is only due to receiving a red card against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on the weekend. He will be back shortly.
“There’s no update on Joel Matip’s scan for now,” said Klopp, as quoted by The Mirror. “We missed Joel long enough.
“Fabinho we miss from now on because he could not play anyway (against Brighton) because of yellow cards.
“Ali is one game. My man of the match is Adrian, coming on in a game like this and having that knock of the free-kick.

“I want to read something about that situation. It is incredible. An ice-cold keeper getting his gloves ready and then (mimes whistle) – that is our life. Then being in the game to make two saves.
“He saved our lives and I am happy for him he can play the derby.”
As good as Matip has been for Liverpool, especially in 2019, should the Reds be looking for cover come the January transfer window?
The centre-back has a horrific record when it comes to injury, and due to the fact that there is no answer in regards to his return, the Reds might need to bring in some cover.
