Liverpool midfielder ruled out of Salzburg clash

Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has been ruled out of tonight’s Champions League clash against Salzburg.

The Reds must avoid defeat in Austria if they wish to progress to the knockout rounds of Europe’s elite competition.

If the Reds fall short and Napoli defeat Genk at home, they would be knocked out of the competition.

Jurgen Klopp will have to get the job done tonight without Lallana, who is reportedly suffering from a knock. It would have been unlikely that the Englishman would have started, but he would have been a handy option off the bench.

However, Liverpool have enough quality to fill the void. The midfield is the area on the pitch that Liverpool have the most depth in.

With that being the case, it is never an easy task predicting who will start each game. With that being the case, there is uncertainty ahead of tonight in regards to who Klopp will pick in his midfield.
