The leaked 2020/21 Liverpool kits that were developed by New Balance

New Balance

Images have appeared of what Liverpool’s 2020/21 kits would have potentially looked like had New Balance been the suppliers.

New Balance took Liverpool to court over a renewal clause in their contract earlier this year, as the club were interested in signing a new deal with Nike. The club won the dispute, which means a deal is set to be struck with Nike.

However, prototypes of the kits New Balance were in the process of developing for next season before Liverpool moved onto Nike have been leaked. The kits have been brought to us by Footy Headlines.

The leaked home kit is quite simple. The away kit is yellow and quite bright. The third kit is a mix of black with lime green and blue stripes.

New Balance have created some solid kits for Liverpool over the years. The 2017-18 home kit was the highlight, but it was always going to be difficult for Liverpool to turn down a company as big as Nike.

Nike are bigger globally than New Balance, which certainly gives them an edge.

All good things come to an end, as Nike are set to supply kits and other merchandise all around the world to Liverpool supporters.
