Gini Wijnaldum gives prediction on what he expects from West Ham United

Reds midfielder Gini Wijnaldum expects Liverpool’s Premier League clash against West Ham United at Anfield tonight to be a difficult one.

The Reds currently possess a 19-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand. Five more victories would ensure that Jurgen Klopp’s side claim the 2019-20 Premier League title.

Liverpool defeated West Ham United 2-0 at the Olympic Stadium earlier in the season thanks to goals scored by Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

However, despite the fact that Liverpool won the match against the Hammers earlier in the season quite comfortably, Wijnaldum is expecting a tough challenge tonight.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Wijnaldum said: “It’s going to be a difficult game.

“When we played away it was already a difficult game – they dropped deep, they made it difficult for us to play our football. I think they’re going to try to do that again.

“Every situation is different, we just have to deal with the situation we will be in at that moment.”

The Hammers could cause Liverpool a problem or two. However, the Reds are the better side by quite a margin, and that itself should show come the final whistle.

With Liverpool losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week, that should inspire them tonight. There is no denying that they will be looking to bounce back.
