Stan Collymore takes aim at Pep Guardiola’s latest comments regarding Liverpool
Former Red Stan Collymore has stated that Liverpool can take pride in the way they have achieved their success under Jurgen Klopp.
Collymore has made such a claim after Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola stated that Liverpool possessing a 22-point lead at the top of the Premier League table would not impress a certain Premier League owner.
Guardiola made this comment as this particular owner apparently stated that the Premier League were not impressed with how the Citizens claimed the title two seasons ago.
Guardiola’s side won the 2017-18 Premier League title by 19 points, which is a similar total to the lead Liverpool currently possess.
However, Guardiola ultimately won the Premier League spending ridiculous amounts of money, which is why Collymore has responded, as he feels Liverpool have achieved a 22-point lead in a completely different manner.

Collymore’s response to Guardiola’s comments is class. Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League title by thinking outside the box.
Sure, Liverpool spent money on centre-back Virgil van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson, but the rest of the squad did not cost Liverpool all too much.
This stems from the fact Liverpool have invested into their academy and bought players that opposition teams were not even aware of.
