100 Liverpool Goals for Mohamed Salah

Let VAR not overshadow this achievement by the Egyptian King.

Our saucy “Egyptian King” has entered the centurion club following his razor sharp left-footed strike against Everton in yesterday’s Merseyside derby.

Mohamed Salah now becomes only the 17th player in Liverpool history to score 100 goals or more, and the third fastest to do so. He has done so in 159 appearances since joining Liverpool in 2017 from Chelsea; this does not count his 41 assists for the club.

Currently he’s in the form of his life, having kicked off the 2020-21 season with a hat-trick against Leeds United.

Here’s a look at some of the other records that the speedy winger has broken in recent times. Despite all of this, he was inexplicably excluded from the 2019-20 PFA Premier League Team of the Year, much to everyone’s surprise. I mean really what’s a person got to do to be appreciated these days.

The club also gifted us with all 100 of his goals in one delightful video.

My favourite remains his audacious solo effort against Manchester United in 2019, assisted by an incredibly precise pass from goalkeeper Alisson, who ran the length of the field to celebrate with the Egyptian after the goal was safely netted in.

What’s your favourite Mo Salah goal for Liverpool? And will he cross the 200-goal mark for us?
