A clash between two of Europe’s sleekest attacking sides 50 years in the making turned into a messy scrap at the rain-slicked Johan Cruijff ArenA, appropriately decided by a ridiculous own goal. Nonetheless, it means Liverpool have maneuvered their second most difficult fixture successfully, hauling all three points back to Anfield.
