Captain Jordan Henderson Released From England International Duty

What’s the name of something that is the best bad news?
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson’s ‘bit of hamstring tightness’ has caused him to be released from international duty. The skipper has returned to Merseyside, where his problem will be assessed by the staff at the club.
We already knew that Henderson would be sitting out Wednesday’s game against Iceland as a precaution. It’s the best of a bad situation that he gets some additional time back at home to recover before this weekend’s match against Leicester City.
Henderson is the latest in a long list of Liverpool players that have gotten injured or sick over the November international break. The only solace we, as Liverpool fans, can take is the fact that the Reds are not alone. The tight and unforgiving schedule has felled important players on almost every team in the Premier League.
And on top of that, global travel during a pandemic and cramming three international games into the break was the perfect recipe for a massive wave of injuries across the league. It was like UEFA had a lever that tightened the hamstring of every player at the same time.
It should get interesting to see what games will look like as we head into the festive period. Is anyone a fan of the Saw franchise?
