Fulham 1, Liverpool 1: Man Of The Match
After Liverpool stumbled to a draw with Fulham,` we want you to rate your man of the match.
After one of the best performances in the league last weekend, Liverpool put together a stinker of a match against a Fulham team hovering around the relegation zone. Thankfully, a stronger second half and a penalty saved Liverpool’s day.
Alisson Becker returned from injury, and immediately made his presence felt. The keeper made several sharp saves in the first half to keep Liverpool in the game. Bobby Firmino was also lively early on, showing some fancy footwork around either box, and was buzzing all over the field. He ended up with two shots, two key passes, and two dribbles, and three tackles for another strong all around performance. Speaking of all around performances, Curtis Jones continues to be Liverpool’s best midfielder. He took over the second half, and almost scored an end to end goal. Jordan Henderson yet again made sacrifices from the team, and dropped into central defense after Joel Matip went of injured. Henderson was Liverpool’s best defender all game, and almost snuck a goal past Fulham’s keeper.
With our favored polling tool out of service, we’re instead giving you a choice between a few of the players we thought looked best today for the Reds, so make your choice below and vote for who you think should be the man of the match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by leaving the real man of the match off the list entirely.
As always, anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP who wish to vote and can’t see the poll can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and re-entering the story.
