Watch: All Six Goals in Dominant Preseason Win over Tranmere Rovers

Liverpool walked out easy 6-0 winners over Tranmere, including a brace from Rhian Brewster. Watch and enjoy.

While it was neither unexpected nor particularly spectacular, Liverpool’s 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers to start their preseason schedule was at least thorough. Past Liverpool sides—even ones that have been much closer to full strength—have been less dominant against worse opponents in recent years.

Very few, if any, of Liverpool’s six goals would have probably beaten a Premier League (and/or Champions League) goalkeeper and/or defense. However, you can only beat the opponents that are in front of you, which Klopp’s mostly reserve charges did with aplomb.

The 6-0 result should also give the squad confidence to put together a run in the domestic cup competitions, which have largely taken a backseat to league and Champions League ambitions for the Reds. At least, it should give us confidence, so long as we draw a few more Tranmeres, and a few less Chelseas next season. Cough Manchester City cough.

Liverpool fans will be most excited to see Rhian Brewster on the scoresheet, two times, no less! There has been a great deal of speculation about how highly Klopp & Co. rate Brewster. If he can get fit and firing for this campaign, we could all be in for a real treat this season.

Divock Origi also netted, scoring arguably the best goal of the night after a fantastic take from a long Joel Matip pass over the top. Apparently Matip to Origi is becoming a thing.

Anyway, enjoy the highlights:
