The Belgian forward has fallen behind in the pecking order.

It’s been a while coming. Belgian news outlet Het Laatste Nieuws are claiming that Liverpool FC are open to any type of move for Divock Origi this winter transfer window. This means that the options of a loan move, a permanent transfer, or even his inclusion as a piece in a player-swap deal (which almost never materialise anyway), are all on the table.

The additions of Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino have seen Divock falling down the pecking order of attackers, and when given the chance to step on the pitch this season, he’s been largely invisible. If he leaves, it’s a parting of ways that makes a lot of sense for all parties. At 25, he still has plenty of football left in the tank, and could also stand to boost his chances of making the Belgian National Team with more regular minutes.

If this is it for Divock, we’ll have his pre-injury hot streak in 2015/16, the Everton winner against Jordan Pickford’s common sense, CORNERTAKENQUICKLY, and the Champions League final winner to look back fondly on.
