Stefan Bajcetic is his name.

Fresh off signing 15-year-old defender/midfielder Calum Scanlon from Birmingham City’s academy, Liverpool FC have their sights set on another youngster. According to the Liverpool Echo, the club have begun talks with Celta Vigo. The player joined Celta’s youth set-up three years ago, and has gradually risen up their ranks, catching the eye of Liverpool’s scouting team.

Manchester United is reportedly also interested, but Liverpool are confident of getting a deal done. Their belief is that they can offer a pathway to the first team for their young signings - especially with academy graduates like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, and Neco Williams all playing significant minutes this campaign for the champions.

A potential stumbling block is that of the impending post-Brexit transfer rules. English teams clubs will be unable to sign overseas players under the age of 18 once the UK officially leaves the EU at the end of this year. This gives the club a very tiny window of just about a week to wrap the deal up. Fingers crossed.
