Rejoice, Harvey Elliott Resumes Training
Twenty-three days after his injury, young Elliott is back on the bike.
Harvey Elliott posted a picture of him on an exercise bike today. It was great. Fantastic even. Here’s the picture in question.
This update comes just 23 days after Elliott’s debilitating ankle fracture at Elland Road. It’s no doubt an encouraging sign for the player’s recovery. No specific timeframe has ever been set for Harvey’s recovery but club physios have expressed confidence that he is expected to feature again later in the season following rehab.
Prior to his injury, Harvey was one of the brightest spots in Liverpool FC’s first three games, linking up wonderfully with the attackers in a more advanced midfield role on the right side of the midfield three. Harvey honestly looked special, and we can’t wait to see him return this season. Klopp has mostly stuck with that same setup of one midfielder looking to join the attack more, even after Harvey’s injury. It’ll be interesting to see if the team drifts away from this as the season progresses, or if Elliott will simply slide back into the position quickly.
