Official: Liverpool’s 2024-25 Premier League Fixture List Announced
Liverpool and new manager Arne Slot appear to have been given a generous start to their 2024-25 Premier League season.
The 2024-25 Premier League fixture list has been announced, with the Reds set to kick off their campaign under new manager Arne Slot on the road against newly promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday, August 17th with an already confirmed 12:30PM lunchtime kickoff and eventually ending the season taking on Crystal Palace at Anfield on May 25th.
While everyone of course faces the 19 other league opponents home-and-away, there are always quirks to how the schedule shakes out for fans to obsess over and on paper at least it appears a generous way to start for Liverpool and new manager Arne Slot, with Ipswich followed by Brentford, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Bournemouth.
According to Opta, that’s a run that makes for the easiest average opposition that will be faced by any Premier League side this coming season. By comparison, Liverpool’s end of season run against Everton, Fulham, Tottenham, Leicester, and West Ham—with Man City and Newcastle their seventh and sixth-to-last opponents—looks more difficult.
City, by comparison, do look to have a far easier final run on paper but a harder start, but for Liverpool under a new manager the focus heading into the 2024-25 season has to be on Liverpool and how the fixture list appears almost set up to give Slot the best chance of getting off to a good start as he takes over for departed legend Jürgen Klopp.
