Fingers crossed.

Two Liverpool FC players have had concerning injury news during this international break, although they don’t seem like big issues at the moment.

In what seems like a precautionary gesture, midfielder Alexis Mac Allister was held out of Argentina’s training “due to a muscle load”, but it appears that he will play against Chile.

The social media accounts of the English national team announced that Harvey Elliott was amongst four members of the country’s under-21 squad to have reported for duty at St George’s Park earlier this week but have now returned to their clubs for “further medical assessment”.

No other details about Harvey’s condition were released, but knock on wood, and fingers crossed that it’s a whole lot of nothing. Harvey hasn’t played much for Arne Slot so far after an impressive preseason, but the fixtures will be coming in fast after this international break is over.
