Injury Watch: Endo a Doubt for Chelsea After Missing Game Against Australia

Liverpool FC midfielder Wataru Endo is a doubt for this weekend’s home game against Chelsea.
The Japanese captain had been reported to miss their World Cup qualifier against Australia in Saitama due to injury and was indeed left out of the squad.
Even though Endo is mainly a bench option these days, this will add to the Reds’ injury concerns, specifically Alexis Mac Allister, who was forced off in the recent 1-0 win at Crystal Palace and then missed Argentina’s first match of the international break with a muscle issue. The 25-year-old underwent a separate training programme with Lionel Scaloni’s team, and while the Liverpool midfielder made the bench against Venezuela, he did not play any minutes.
Thankfully, it seems like he is now okay. He featured for 66 minutes against Bolivia before he was taken off at 66 minutes for Leandro Paredes.
Fingers crossed that both midfielders are okay. Up the Reds.
