Rumour Mongering: Bournemouth Target Liverpool’s Elliott and Kelleher

Liverpool have been linked with Bournemouth stars Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen—and the Cherries might want a couple of Reds in return.
With the 2024-25 Premier League season nearing its end and another summer transfer window on the horizon, much of the chatter for Liverpool has focused in on a pair of Bournemouth defenders: left back Milos Kerkez and centre half Dean Huijsen.
Now, though, there’s talk from the Bournemouth side suggesting the Cherries might themselves be strongly considering moves for a pair of Liverpool players with midfielder Harvey Elliott and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher said to be of interest to them.
At least that’s how The Mail see it, claiming that while some kind of a swap isn’t likely to be how the deals would go down—assuming multiple sales between clubs do come to pass—the Liverpool duo are high up Bournemouth’s current summer transfer wish list.
Of the two, any interest in Kelleher would seem to depend on other moving parts, including current goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who is on loan from Chelsea but whom the south coast club have hinted they would like to keep around beyond this season.
Bournemouth were also linked to Giorgi Mamardashvili last year after Liverpool signed him from Valencia, with the original plan being to loan him there for the season before Valencia made it clear the only way they’d do a deal is if they held him another year.
Mamardashvili is set to arrive at Anfield this summer, and with first choice stopper Alisson Becker showing no signs of slowing down it could be the Georgian international will need to find a loan home where he can start regularly for the 2025-26 season.
