Liverpool Could Send Gary Neville To The Amazon With Champions League Win

The former Manchester United star thinks Liverpool fans would be insufferable next year if they win the Champions League. He’s probably right.

There are loads of reasons to seek Champions League glory. There are the obvious ones: the money. The fame. The prestige. The celebration. Ending Liverpool’s 6+ year trophy drought. Having a laugh about a certain Brazilian leaving for greener pastures. And now? Driving former Manchester United star Gary Neville insane. That’s quite the cherry on top.

“We’ve got a charter booked for the 27th of May,” said, jokingly, in an interview with the Daily Mail.

”There will be a million flights booked out of Manchester to the forests of the Amazon where there’s no wifi.

”We’re out of here, we’re gone. It’d be the season from hell.”

Wow. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly want to win the Champions League more, you gift us this peek into your innermost fears and turmoil, Gary? Now I want this even more.

”Let’s just live in hope that United win the FA Cup and our friend and boy Cristiano [Ronaldo] turns up, scores a lovely little hat-trick.

“Liverpool have done brilliantly to get to a Champions League final. I just don’t want them to win it!”

All fair. Though, still strange how Mancs consider Ronaldo an extension of their club. As if him winning it gives Manchester a hint of European glory. Mates, I hate to break this to you, but he left. He left, he’s never coming back, and he’s better off in Madrid white than Manchester red.

So, Liverpool, let’s do this. Not just for our own happiness, but also for the misery of every Manchester United fan out there (as if being managed by Mourinho wasn’t miserable enough).
