Alisson to Liverpool seems unlikely as Klopp cools interest
Despite reports in Italy suggesting otherwise, David Maddock from The Mirror has confirmed that Liverpool have not submitted a formal bid for Roma’s goalkeeper, Alisson.
It was reported earlier today that Liverpool had submitted a bid of €60m, plus €5m in add-ons, for Roma’s goalkeeper, according to a report from Italian news publication Gazzetta.
Maddock though was quick to end any speculation.

Widespread reports in Italy on €65m Liverpool bid for Alisson…completely wrong (unfortunately). NO bid from @LFC, no contact at all with player or club. No plans to bid at this stage either. Was some interest earlier in window, but cooled and not revived. #LFC

Maddock mentioned that Liverpool have no plans to revive their interest in Alisson at this moment. It appears the fee Roma want for Alisson is more than what Liverpool believe he is worth.
It remains unclear who Jurgen Klopp is targeting in the goalkeeping department, but there’s no denying Liverpool need to invest in a new goalkeeper with Simon Migmolet’s departure likely and the concerning form of Loris Karius.
