Watch: Jurgen Klopp Reads The King Kenny Dalglish Story

The Liverpool manager took time out to narrate the illustrated book about club legend King Kenny Dalglish
Do you like listening to the sonorous voice of Liverpool’s German manager, Jurgen Klopp?
Are you a fan of club legend King Kenny Dalglish?
Do you like illustrated children’s books written in rhyme?
If answered with a yes to any of these questions, then boy do I have something for you. Way back in 2018 - that’s about 37 years ago in quarantine time - Standard Charter released an illustrated children’s book about the life and legacy of Kenny Dalglish. The book describes Kenny’s boyhood love of the game and words of advice from his father before going on to be one of the best players ever for Celtic, Scotland, and of course Liverpool.
With the Premier League, along with all other major European leagues, shutting down amid the coronavirus pandemic, players and managers have found themselves with unexpected free time. Jurgen Klopp, who I’m pretty sure we all like to think of as a father figure, took some time out of his not-quite-so-busy schedule to narrate the book while enjoying a mug of tea.
The result is fairly endearing, as Klopp chuckles to himself from time to time as he reads the rhymes. Take a gander at the video below.
