Daniel Sturridge to be given one final chance at Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge is set to stay at Liverpool for the upcoming season, according to The Liverpool Echo.

Sturridge has been excellent in pre-season thus far, and with that being the case, Jurgen Klopp is prepared to give him another season to prove his worth despite the risk of losing him on a free transfer next season.

Sturridge looked destined to leave as he was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion in January earlier this year, but a promising pre-season in terms of fitness, form and attitude seemed to have swung Klopp to give him another chance.

Sturridge, who is currently in his final year of his £120,000 per week contract, appears to be playing slightly deeper than usual.

The Englishman has scored 63 goals in 133 games for the Reds since his £12million move from Chelsea in 2013
