KAA Gent secure Taiwo Awoniyi on loan-deal
Taiwo Awoniyi has sealed a season-long loan move to Belgian side KAA Gent.
The 20-year-old striker signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool last week but it was always his intentions to seek another loan move in order to continue his development.
It will be Awoniyi’s second spell in Belgium after spending the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Royal Excel Mouscron.

The Nigerian-born youth international joined the Reds in 2015 from Imperial Soccer Academy, a club based in his native homeland.
The striker will begin his season with KAA Gent on Friday as they prepare for an away trip to Standard Liege.
Yves Vanderhaeghe’s outfit finished fourth in the Belgian top-flight last season, securing the final Europa League place in the Pro League.
Speaking last week after securing a long-term at Anfield, Awoniyi said: “When I was told about the contract I was so eager to get it done, to move onto the next stage, going out on loan or being a Liverpool player. My ambition is to work hard wherever I find myself and hopefully be a better player.
I’m a Liverpool player for more years and the plan is to keep on working hard and hopefully get back here one day.”
