Marko Grujic and Sheyi Ojo in demand

Midfielder Marko Grujic and winger Sheyi Ojo are attracting significant interest after Liverpool signalled their intention to trim their oversized squad.

Grujic underlined his potential in an impressive loan spell at Cardiff City in the second half of the 2017/18 season, but following the arrival of Fabinho and Naby Keita, his prospects of satisfactory game-time look bleak.

The club, then, are willing to sanction a temporary move and have held talks with Cardiff about the possibility of sending the Serb back to South Wales.

However, the Mail report Neil Warnock’s side now face competition from Crystal Palace, who are in the market for a new central midfielder.

Liverpool are open the idea of loaning Grujic to a Premier League outfit to test his credentials, and so may choose to send him to the side who can offer the most minutes.

The Reds are also looking to loan out Ojo, who made 24 appearances in his spell at Fulham last season.

According to the Telegraph, Reading are interested in a temporary move for the 21-year-old, but Nottingham Forest will mount a stern challenge.

Forest are considering a permanent deal and could shell out up to £10million for Ojo’s services, the Nottingham Post claim.

Liverpool have already loaned out Adam Bogdan, Ryan Kent, Ovie Ejaria, Harry Wilson, Allan Rodrigues de Souza and Taiwo Awoniyi this summer.
