Pep Lijnders officially starts back at Melwood
Pep Lijnders will fill the void created by Zeljko Buvac, with Liverpool’s No.2. not in attendance for the start of the Red’s pre-season camp at Melwood.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Klopp understood Lijnders reasons leaving Liverpool in January and he knew the value to Liverpool of securing his services once again. Lijnders was invited to the Champions League final in Kiev.

The 35-year-old returned to the club today as preparations for pre-season got underway at Melwood.
Jurgen Klopp hold’s Lijnders in high-regard and when the Dutch coach was sacked by NEC Nijmegen in May, the Liverpool boss made it clear there was still a place for him at the club.
Liverpool hasn’t officially announced the departure of Buvac permanently but the chances of the Bosnian-Serb coach returning to Melwood is looking increasingly bleak.
Buvac was once labelled ‘The Brain’ by Klopp during their 17-year association and unless a considerable turnaround is on the cards then it appears the relationship between the two is over.
