Joe Gomez looking for Liverpool’s defence to create their own reputation

Joe Gomez wants to be apart of a Liverpool defence that develops a reputation for being as formidable as the front three.

The Englishman has had an impressive start to the season alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence. The Reds are yet to concede a goal in the Premier League, and Gomez wants it to stay that way.

“We have got a very strong side and our front three is very well known after all that they did last season,” Gomez told Sky Sports.

“But I think at the same time it is very early, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. Clean sheets is our job and what we want to do.

“We want to just keep them going and hopefully build a reputation like our front three did last year.”
