Pedro Chirivella Turns Down Move To Norwegian Club Rosenborg

Despite the lack of real interest, Chirivella turned down the £3.5 million move to Norway.
Since moving to Liverpool from Valencia in 2013, things haven’t exactly worked out for Pedro Chirivella. Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers brought him in from his hometown club as a player he could mold into his kind of midfielder.
Now 21-year-old, and under a manager with a far different idea of what he wants out of his midfield, his options on Merseyside are limited. That he has only made 5 senior competitive appearances in as many years tells you every thing you need to know about the youngster. All 5 of those appearances occurred during the transitional 2015/16 season, and only one was in the Premier League.
Given this history at Liverpool, you would think that Chirivella would be eager to pack up and move anywhere, even relatively small Rosenborg, currently second in the Norwegian Eliteserien. Regardless, he turned down the £3.5 million move to the team currently in second place in Norway, instead hoping to land a move within England, or back in Spain.
Chirivella was held back from squad training in Evian, France in order to complete this deal, so unless the player knows about other interest from elsewhere, this is an odd situation.
