Pedro Chirivella wanted by Celtic
Out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella is attracting serious interest from former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, according to Goal‘s Neil Jones.
Liverpool had agreed a £3.5million deal with Rosenborg for the Spaniard, but he turned down the move.
He is still fully expected to leave the club this summer, having spent the last season and a half out on loan, and expressed a preference to stay in England or move to Spain.
Championship sides Swansea and Nottingham Forest are said to be interested.
However, Jones suggests that Rodgers may have the advantage in the pursuit of 21-year-old given that, provided Celtic come through the two remaining qualifying rounds unscathed, they can offer Champions League football.

The Northern Irishman is an admirer of Chirivella, whom he handed a Liverpool debut in a Europa League game against Bordeaux in 2015.
According to the Echo, Rosenborg agreed to grant the Reds a buy-back clause. The club are likely to pursue a similar deal with Celtic.
