Rangers eye Dominic Solanke
New Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is being tipped to turn to former club Liverpool once again as he looks to bolster his squad.
Reports on Thursday suggest that, after landing Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent on loan, Gerrard hopes to agree a loan for Dominic Solanke.
Solanke was signed from Chelsea last summer and spent much of the season as back-up to Roberto Firmino, scoring his first goal for the club in their final Premier League game of the season against Brighton.
Daniel Sturridge’s pre-season resurgence, though, has seen him leapfrog the youngster in the strikers’ pecking order.
Danny Ings and Divock Origi were both expected to leave in this transfer window, but both could yet stay put.
It may be Solanke who is shown the door, albeit on a temporary basis.

The Englishman would enjoy significantly greater prospects of first-team football at Ibrox.
Both The Scotsman and the Mirror claim that club legend Gerrard is ‘confident’ of recruiting the 20-year-old before the Scottish window closes at the end of the month.
