Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain making progress from long-term injury

Alex Oxlade-Chambelain believes he is making progress from the long-term injury he suffered against AS Roma in the Champions League semi-final first leg last season at Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain sustained multiple ligament damage to his knee which ultimately ruled him out for the majority of this season, but the Englishman is doing his best to stay strong.

“It is a very serious injury,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Sky Sports on Saturday.

“It can happen to any of us at any time and that’s obviously something that’s never easy to deal with and get over.

“I’m trying to stay positive, that’s the sort of character I am. I feel that’s the best way to move things forward. I’m in good spirits and I’m progressing for sure.”
