Fresh milestone for promising Kelleher
Young Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has taken yet another positive step by completing his first training session with the Republic of Ireland squad on Friday.
19-year-old Kelleher enjoyed his first minutes for Jurgen Klopp’s side during pre-season, featuring in victories against Manchester City and Manchester United in the US.
At the end of last month, he committed his future to the Reds by signing a new contract.
Clearly, his potential is also recognised by his national team, who invited him to train with the senior group ahead of their trip to Poland on Tuesday evening.

Kelleher has been described as an ‘outstanding talent’ by Klopp and is hopeful of significant game time with the Under-23s this season.
There are suggestions that he has leapfrogged fellow youngster Kamil Grabara to slot into third in the goalkeeping pecking order behind Alisson and Simon Mignolet.
He could, then, earn a start in one of the cup competitions in the coming months.
