Jurgen Klopp delighted with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free kick
Jurgen Klopp was delighted with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s superb free kick in the Watford match, and was eager to heap praise on all of his weekend goal-scorers in an interview with LiverpoolFC.com.
Mohamed Salah put the Reds 1-0 in front in the second half after a goalless first period before Alexander-Arnold doubled Liverpool’s lead with a curled effort into the top right corner from 25 yards out.
The right-back’s first goal for his club came in similar circumstances against Hoffenheim in the Champions League last season.

Roberto Firmino wrapped up the win with a header after Ben Foster parried Sadio Mane’s powerful shot to give the Reds all three points and keep them second in the table.
And the Liverpool manager was, understandably, very pleased with the manner in which his side broke down Watford’s resolute defence.
“The first goal was a wonderful one-two, in the box, Mo at the first post and Sadio [Mane] sees him – bam, wonderful goal,” said Klopp.
“Trent’s free-kick… wow! It was time actually – it was long ago we played Hoffenheim!
“The third goal, what a counter-attack! Robbo was on his bike and Sadio was in the perfect situation. He could have controlled the ball but he wanted to give the goal to Bobby and he deserved it.”
Klopp was also encouraged by the fact that Liverpool kept another clean sheet, maintaining their unbeaten record in the league this season – it’s also the first time the Reds have ever conceded as few as five goals in the first 13 matches of a league season.
“I’m really happy about it, to be honest,” Klopp continued.
“It’s nothing you can go for because how you can go for a clean sheet if you want to win good games? You have to open up a bit and you have to go for some risk.
“But it’s nice that this group came together in this big, big club, with this big history, and can make the best start. It feels good, to be honest.”
