Bournemouth officially sign Dominic Solanke for £19million

Bournemouth have completed a £19million deal to sign Dominic Solanke from Liverpool with the Cherries also set to sign Nathaniel Clyne on loan as well.

Off the back of a disappointing defeat against Manchester City, Liverpool have completed a fine bit of business, offloading Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth.

It’s a testament to the fine work Michael Edwards is doing as sporting director that he has managed to secure a £19m transfer fee for a player that has scored one goal since joining the Reds.

A statement on Liverpool’s official website reads: “Dominic Solanke has sealed a permanent transfer to Bournemouth.”

Nathaniel Clyne is also expected to head down to the south coast, albeit on a temporary basis as Eddie Howe looks to bolster the leaky Cherries backline that was exposed in all its glory against Watford this week.

There is yet to be official communication on a loan move for Clyne but it shouldn’t take too long given how quickly the Solanke deal was completed.
