Claude Puel confirms major injury concern for Leicester ahead of Liverpool clash

Leicester City are worried about Harry Maguire after the England international was withdrawn against Wolves at the weekend and will be assessed before the Foxes travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool.

The Reds’ title credentials will once again be put to the test when Leicester visit Anfield but the Foxes might be without a key player.

Harry Maguire was forced off the pitch during his side’s frantic 4-3 defeat to Wolves and Claude Puel has confirmed that although it’s not a serious injury, he will be assessed before the Liverpool game.

“It is his leg,” Puel confirmed. “I don’t think it is a serious injury but he could not continue in the game.

“Perhaps he could not have the good jump (for Bennett’s goal) perhaps because I think he received small injury before the second goal.

“We will see [about Maguire’s availability].”
