Liverpool defender returns to training ahead of Leicester contest
Jurgen Klopp has another defensive option to consider ahead of Liverpool’s contest with Leicester at Anfield.
Despite many supporters wanting Klopp to sign a new, versatile defender to help the Reds cope with injuries accumulated as a result of the hectic festive fixure list, the German manager has insisted that his squad can cope with the rigours of the Premier League.
Joe Gomez is the player that has been missed the most but at this point, with Klopp now only having four senior defenders fit, Liverpool really can’t afford to pick and choose.

Klopp has welcomed Dejan Lovren back to training at Melwood in the last couple days but the Croat’s return doesn’t immediately solve his problems.
With three central defenders and two left-backs fit, Klopp is either going to have to hand Rafa Camacho, a natural winger, his debut at right-back or play Fabinho alongside Joel Matip or Lovren.
The sooner Trent Alexander-Arnold returns to full fitness the better. Joe Gomez will still be out for a couple of weeks but it looks like his younger teammate is closer to making a comeback.
