Bayern Munich names Liverpool’s most important player
Liverpool’s most important player is Georginio Wijnaldum, says Serge Gnabry ahead of Bayern Munich’s trip to Anfield.
The former Arsenal winger believes the Dutchman is Liverpool’s MVP and highlighted his incredible contribution in both attack and defence.
Gini scored a delightful goal against Bournemouth during the Reds’ last Premier League outing and the last week and a half has been filled with praise for someone who many considered one of the most underrated players in the league.

“When I watch Liverpool games, he’s everywhere,” Gnabry said.
“He works in the background, bridging the spaces between defence and midfield and has a very large impact on the Liverpool game.”
The Bayern winger admitted Liverpool are favourites to win the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie at Anfield on Tuesday, saying: “I do not think the public is wrong. Liverpool is playing a very strong season, you cannot deny that.
“That’s okay. But that does not mean that we go into the game and say, ‘There is nothing to get.’ On the contrary: We have our strengths, we are Bayern. Everything is possible.”
