Bayern Munich star admits Liverpool are favourites ahead Champions League tie

Joshue Kimmich has admitted that Liverpool are the favourites to win the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie at Anfield on Tuesday evening.

The Reds made it to the final of the competition last season and are second on goal difference in the Premier League with a game in hand over Manchester City.

Kimmich says Bayern’s lack of consistency hands the advantage to Liverpool as the Merseysiders have only been defeated once in the league all season.

“Liverpool are the favourites,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

“They have lost one league game all season and have let in only 15 goals. But when you look at us, we are not as consistent as before.”

Speaking about Klopp, Kimmich added: “It’s amazing, the emotion he has, on the field, with the fans.

“You can see how he pushes his players to another level. Every player is better with this coach.

“He can coach every team, including our national team. Everybody likes him. He is just really authentic.”
