Klopp discusses injury crisis and why James Milner didn’t train before West Ham
Liverpool are currently struggling with several injuries to key players but Jurgen Klopp refused to attribute his side’s failure to beat West Ham to the injury crisis that he is having to contend with.
Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum surprisingly missed the draw at the London Stadium with minor muscle injuries and added to Klopp’s growing injury list.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is due to return soon but Joe Gomez underwent a successful surgery yesterday and will be out for several weeks at least.

Klopp said: “I don’t moan about that, it is just a fact. It is not an excuse or nothing. I said we could have played better tonight, 100 per cent, but it’s the situation and it’s not perfect.
“We lost two players and Millie came back because he didn’t train yesterday. He came by himself to London because it was infectious. That is all not perfect, of course. For me, it explains parts of the game, but we don’t look for these things.
“As I said, the preparation for the game was far away from being perfect and we still got a point. That’s it.”
