Liverpool receive major injury boost as Bayern star ruled out of Champions League tie
Arjen Robben is set to miss both legs of the Champions League Round of 16 tie with Liverpool due to a thigh injury.
The Reds will be pleased to hear the Dutch veteran will be unable to play at Anfield or, indeed, the Allianz Arena as his ability to win games on his own is still something to be feared at the age of 35.
German news outlet Bild claim that Robben is set to lose out and will definitely not feature in the first leg with his chances of making an appearance in the second leg very slim.

The former Real Madrid player has been consulting with Bayern doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, and after the meeting this week the player told Bild: “It’s still not good.
“We try everything, but at the moment it is not so good. Unfortunately, that’s exactly the problem, that they do not know exactly what it is.
“It’s really difficult.”
