Pep Guardiola issues warning over Premier League title race to Liverpool
Manchester City beat Arsenal on Sunday evening to move within two points of Liverpool and if the Reds don’t beat West Ham tonight, Pep Guardiola’s side could go back to the top with a win over Everton on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola has warned Liverpool about the pressure of challenging for top honours and although he conceded that the pressure is worse when you are attempting to come from behind to win silverware, he has hinted that Jurgen Klopp’s side might crack under the pressure.
Liverpool travel to London to face West Ham who are not without their own injury problems but the Merseyside outfit will need to stave off any nerves if they are to overcome the Hammers.

“Everyone thought we had lost the Premier League after Newcastle,” said Guardiola. “Me too. It was going to be seven points. Now it’s two.
“I’ve said many times I’d prefer to be in Liverpool’s position. The pressure when you are behind is tougher.
“When you’re at the top, by a distance, you can drop points and still be there.
“All we can do is be ourselves. We didn’t recognise ourselves and what we are at Newcastle, but today we came back.
“I cannot deny we would prefer West Ham to beat Liverpool, but I’m sure Liverpool would have preferred Arsenal to have beaten us. I don’t have any influence, we just have to win games. Now we are two points behind and it can be five again tomorrow or three.
“But we are the only ones playing in midweek and now we have to prepare to win three points at Everton.
“I’m not in Jurgen’s mind, I don’t know about Liverpool. We just have to be ourselves, make a good performance and win our games.”
