A lot of Liverpool fans never want to see the Brazilian at Liverpool again and with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu insisting they are not selling him, any chance of an unlikely reunion has been put to bed.

The 26-year-old has struggled for form this season after making a positive impact at the Nou Camp last year.

And with Manchester United and Chelsea linked with sensational bids for the playmaker, fans will also be relieved that they won’t have to see Coutinho playing for Liverpool’s rivals.

“Are we going to consider the sale of Coutinho? No. It’s a club bet,” Bartomeu told El Partidazo de COPE .

“He plays differently, he knows how we play, we do not want to sell Coutinho.”

While Liverpool have done remarkably without Philippe Coutinho this season, there is still the feeling that the Reds are missing a playmaker in his mould that can split apart a defence with one pass or score a screamer from range at will.
