RB Leipzig teammate sends message to Timo Werner amid Liverpool exit talk

Emil Forsberg has told Timo Werner that he needs to trust his ‘gut feeling’ over what decision to make this summer with Liverpool and Bayern Munich set to do battle for his signature.

The German has been in prolific form for the Bundesliga outfit since joining them three years ago and is set to score 20+ goals for the third straight season which is hugely impressive at the age of 22.

Jurgen Klopp could really do with having an option like Werner for when Salah, Mane and Firmino are struggling like they are currently.

“Timo is the new face of German football,” said Forsberg to Sport Bild.

“He’s the future. To keep him at RB would be great for the whole club.

“I know that he feels very comfortable in Leipzig and with what he has at the club. But I can’t talk him into anything. He has to trust his gut feeling.”

Werner is reportedly valued at £60million and Liverpool will need to overcome Bayern Munich to sign the German.
