Liverpool linked with £26million move for La Liga defender

Liverpool are reportedly interested in a move for Real Sociedad’s Diego Llorente, and could be readying a deal worth £26million.
Anfield scouts have been monitoring Llorente all season as Jurgen Klopp looks to add more options in defence ahead of next season.
Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren have been unavailable for significant periods of time throughout this campaign, leaving Liverpool with just two fit centre-backs in Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip. Fabinho has also been utilised in defence at times.

Llorente would be a welcome addition. He has been in good form all season for Sociedad, attracting interest from around the continent. His passing range is good and he enjoys playing the ball out from the back – he also bagged seven goals last season.
The 25-year-old, who can also play in defensive midfield, has a £45million release clause, which may put off some suitors. However, Liverpool have been known to splash the cash when they believe a player is worth it.
